2020 California Earthquake Clearinghouse Workshops

In November 2020, the Clearinghouse hosted two virtual workshops. The two-hour virtual workshops include presentations from the California Geological Survey, the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services, the U.S. Geological Survey, FEMA Region 9, and the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute. Workshop attendees learned:

    • How the clearinghouse works and when it’s activated
    • Who is involved in the Clearinghouse
    • How field investigation information is collected and shared
    • How the Disaster Service Worker Program applies to Clearinghouse volunteers
    • What the Safety Assessment Program (SAP) is and how its mission differs from the Clearinghouse
